My Blackberry 9900
Got myself a new phone the previous weekend and I’m so excited cos’ I can finally put my blackberry 9700 phone aside. Today’s post will be a review of some of the functions of this phone and my personal likes and dislikes of it.
So what’s good about this phone?
1. It has a touch screen function, which operates similarly to the iphone. What the iphone lacks is the qwerty keyboard that this phone also provides. Personally, I think it’s annoying to use a touch screen keyboard to send messages. This keyboard is physically present so it’s super convenient and awesome! *thumbs up!*
2. In addition, the touch screen function opens up doors for more applications that weren’t previously available for the other non-touch screen devices. You’ll see some of the applications that I’ve downloaded later.
3. This phone has a 5 megapixel camera, which is obviously better than my previous blackberry phone that only has 3 megapixel. Now that’s pathetic. Although I carry a 12 megapixel camera with me most of the time, I can choose to take nice pictures with the phone and edit it instantly on one of the applications. 
4. As with other blackberry devices, the BBM has definitely gotta be one of the exclusive applications that RIM developed. No need for further explanation. BBM is love. <3
Also, because I went to upgrade my mobile plan from the previous 3GB, I’m now given 12GB of data free so I can watch videos without worrying about exceeding the usage! And yes, for a similar price I used to pay for!
And what’s ugly about this phone is that …
1. This phone drains the battery life really quickly. Instead of charging it once every 3 – 4 days, I’ve to charge it almost every single day, which is horrible.
2. Although this phone has more applications as compared to my previous phone, it still lacks in comparison to the iphone. This, I have to admit. After all, I guess the blackberry phone is more targeted to young working adults who probably won’t have time for games.
Other than those that I’ve mentioned, I guess I’ve no other dislikes for my new phone. I definitely like it better than what I had. Only problem is that, I can’t bring this phone into camp. Blah. Whatever.

1. Ghost Camera

Operates just like a normal camera but after snapping pictures, a ghost will randomly appear in your picture like this. I guess the ghost camera should be used on dark alleys to make it more believable. ^^
2. PixTrix
Guitar I bought from Yamaha.Cost me $528. )’:
Pixtrix presents a fixed set of editing actions for the user to apply effects on pictures. Out of the few that are available, I like “Colour Crush”,” RG Contrast” and “Lomo”.
3. Blackberry Avatar for Guys
Downloaded this application cos’ I wanted to play around with what they have.
This is gonna be how I’ll look in the future. Hhahahaha. Nah, maybe not. I’m still considering to dye my hair ash grey or silver.
4. PicStory
Definitely my favourite application for now! What it does is that, it gives you the option to choose layouts and from there, you choose pictures to fit into those frames. You can adjust the sizes and positioning of your photos so that it’s pretty. I’ve seen some of the photos and they look like they’re taken from tumblr. Quite impressive. (: Also, you can view “PicStories” of people who’re located near you. Who knows? Maybe you can hook one of them up after adding them on BBM. ^^

The graphics for Sims 3 is really … pathetic. So terribly done that it looks like HabboHotel. Gawd. I believe Blackberry can do better than this. I seldom play the games in there too, so I didn’t take screenshots of the rest. I’ll leave the rest for you to explore. (:

P/S: It’s not that I despise the uneducated, but they have proven to me time and time again that they are not self-disciplined enough to take control of small decisions they make in their lives. As simple as doing things properly, the right way. Pathetic rule breakers. Don’t be selfish and think of others as well, especially in camp. Assholes. If you really think that the elite bunch thinks of you as trashy, then prove to them that you’re not. Actions speak louder than words. Bring it on.

1. Celebrated my 21st birthday with my awesome bunch of friends.

2. MDC audition
Went for the SAF Music and Drama Company audition on the 29th October 2011. Well, coincidentally, the audition was on my birthday. Had to go through a dance component, singing component and hosting/acting component for the Artiste Department. Also signed up for the Technician Department and had to go through an interview. So, whatever position they put me in, I don’t really care. Just wish that I can get in!
3. Just doing my thing at home
While everyone was busy preparing for Halloween, I was in camp. Guess this should make up to what I’ve missed out. Haha okay please do not laugh if the last photo isn’t convincing enough. I was just playing around. Lol
It’s back to camp soon, and round 2 of field camp this week. FML – Every serviceman’s nightmare. ):

Autumn’s over.
It’s mid-October and soon, the long, cold and harsh winter is gonna be here. I’m applying this concept to seasons in our lives. Spring and autumn, the sweetest and best times of our lives. But they don’t last. Summer and winter, the darkest periods of our lives. When you’re going at it, you never feel like it’s gonna end anytime soon. I guess natural disasters also occur more often during summer and winter.
Completed my BMT phase a week ago. It’s almost the end of the week and block leave will be ending in no time. I should’ve been more appreciative of my 10 weeks back then. Received my vocation yesterday and was pretty upset. I guess it’s not even worth mentioning about it. But I landed in one of the fiercest vocation in the Singapore Infantry Regiments (SIR). Have to prepare myself for lots of outfield and route marches, which I really hate. It was kind of expected that I failed the SAF Band Audition … but why this? ):
May the person/people who decided on my vocation lead an unhappy life forever. You stole my happiness and freedom away.
Nevermind that… It’s too early to form an opinion until I’ve gone through it. Back to what I’ve been doing for this past week. Went on a shopping frenzy and splurged like there’s no tomorrow.

I visualize our skin cells as solvents that react to sunlight and miscellaneous chemical reactions. When exposed to sunlight, our skin cells become darker, and if you want to obtain brighter, whiter skin, you need moisturizer to “dilute” that effect.

The end which I have been always looking forward to has finally arrived. (:
But before reaching the end point, there’s always a challenge – the grueling 24km route march. 16km for me. I swear if I were to do the 24km route march, I would have died. No doubt it was physically straining. I’ve to thank all my platoon mates (Barry, Nigel, G J, Justin, Garrison, Kok Hwee, etc) for taking turns to support my field pack. Else I wouldn’t have made it.
Also, not forgetting all the commanders who have encouraged and inspired me along the way. (:

Every Singaporean Son

2 months has passed since I was enlisted as a recruit in the SAF, and would be having my graduation parade in a week’s time at the Marina Bay Sands Floating Platform. I remember dreading life in the army. To me, it was a plenty waste of time. I could be studying and excelling at what I do best at in school. While you’re going at it, life really sucks. But when it’s over, you wish that you were in it again… Maybe not.
Fortunately/Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be doing the 24km route march on 8 October with everyone else. Truly this song summarizes everything I wanted to post. I guess it’s an overwhelming feeling of happiness and some sadness to know that we’re parting.
Oh well, the next time I book out, I would have completed the BMT phase! Can’t wait for POP! (:
